VEF commissioned Jim’s Woodcraft to build a table and bench set for young children, to occupy the space vacated by the phone box in the town square.  Marc, dad Ernie and a friend kindly installed it.  The bench is proving popular with children with ice creams from Crave!

A small team made a fantastic job of repairing, rubbing down and painting our telephone box at The Grove.  Our bid for funding from Creative Island was successful and we have employed a researcher to collate history of our phone box and Ventnor telephone exchange – which is now available online on our website “Ventnor Calling”:
