After the work party which took place on Wednesday 1st with IOW Green Gym, VEF’s Easter duck race took place on Saturday 4th.  Early morning drizzle cleared and the wind died down to allow a large crowd to have a very enjoyable morning.  There were 14 races of 30 ducks, culminating in a loser’s race and a winner’s race.  The winning duck was number 242

March 2025

VEF replaced the rotting planter at the entrance to Lowtherville with another lined planter similar to those already installed in the town centre.  The old planter was considerably larger so we transplanted the better plants from it into the new one along with new compost
