November 2025

IOW Green Gym joined a small group of VEF members in a work party at Flowersbrook on 26th.  VEF concentrated on tidying the pond area, while Green Gym cleared the stream.  It was beautiful weather for the time of year and brought out the best of team spirit.

October 2025

Ventnor Enhancement Fund have finally acquired the telephone box at the entrance to the Grove Road car park.  It has been a long and bureaucratic process but Graham has persevered and succeeded.  We are currently updating the electrical installation.  We are liaising with Ventnor Heritage Centre and Ventnor Exchange regarding plans for its future

A work party on 17th tidied up the paved area next to the Central Car Park.  Excessive growth was removed, grass removed from between the slabs, flowers in our planters dead-headed etc.  In addition, a huge amount of Russian vine and brambles were removed from the hedge between the car park and pavement, near the bus stop.
